On 21 August 2019, Metasense participated in The University of Sydney’s annual Student Innovation Challenge. As 1 of 16 finalist teams across four categories who showcased their idea, Metasense took out first place in the Start-up Innovation category, winning a $10,000 cash prize for further development. For Metasense, the Innovation Challenge provided an opportunity for Dr Behi and his colleagues to pitch their vision and value proposition to a panel of entrepreneurs, industry, academics and alumni.
